How come your ads are so cheap? Overhead. We have very little. Most of our business is done by
mail. Without high expenses for
employee salaries and benefits, and no large commercial space necessary, we can
pass tremendous savings on to you, the advertiser. Why should I advertise on your site? Because we get
results! We give shoppers what
they want – a large variety of products and services, and free personal
ads. We spend almost all of our
time selling our site – not selling ads. We feel that our chief responsibility
to our advertisers is to get them results, and that means visitors to the
site. We have been on the
internet since 1999 so we know our way around. We have experienced steady growth from
the beginning. People visit our
site because it is so much more than advertising, and offers so much more
than the average daily newspaper.
We have the daily wisdom of Einstein and Ghandi
below the header, the History of the Day, and the prominent Birthdays of the
Day on the front page, not to mention a challenging daily crossword
puzzle. We also have online links
to the best news sources in the United States, as well as foreign news
sources printed in English. We do
not take any political position whatsoever. You will find on our site in the blue
column to the left the best known liberal political blogs on the net, and in
the red column to the right, the best known conservative blogs, so you can
read what you want or find out what the “other side” is
saying. Our site also contains
one of the largest consumer advocate resource areas on the internet. The Fast Food Nutrition Guide alone draws hundreds to our site, and
is one of the largest restaurant guides on the internet. We’ve also got a huge Fun Time Wasters on the Internet that
will keep you occupied for hours and coming back again and again. Once you visit our site, you WILL be
back. Why shouldn’t I just continue to
advertise in the daily newspaper?
You can, but you are living in the
past. You are simply not spending
your advertising dollars wisely.
Newsprint is dead, and your local newspaper knows it. That’s why they are going online
as quickly as they can find the resources to do so. According to Time Magazine, the U.S. newspaper industry has entered a new
period of serious decline. The Rocky Mountain News closed, The Seattle Post-Intelligencer, and The San Francisco Chronicle owned by Hearst were some of the
larger newspapers that went broke or began to publish only online.
Why? Because newsprint is
like 8 track music tapes. It is
obsolete. And because the 21
– 45 age group (the group with the money to buy) read their news
and shop on the internet.
Shouldn't your ad be where the Buyers are? |
